Unlike a traditional university environment, the University of Essex degree courses utilise a Virtual Learning Environment. The system is designed to track and manage the learning process in real-time and provides students with immediate access to their learning materials wherever they are.
This learning platform allows both students and tutors to actively take part in real-time conversations and can listen to, and view, live lectures and seminars over the internet. Studying is carried out entirely online and the programme of study can fit around their work and personal commitments.
Students are supported throughout their business and management course by a dedicated Student Adviser and have the opportunity to regularly interact with fellow students and the tutor.

Entry requirements

•  Bachelor degree in a relevant or appropriate subject, or the equivalent from an internationally recognised institution
•  Graduates with a non-business Bachelors degree will complete a pre-course self study pack of reading and short assessments in the four weeks before starting their first Level 7 module. There is no additional cost for this introductory programme of study which will prepare students for the Postgraduate Diploma course.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Applicants who do not meet the above academic requirement must possess at least 5 years of work experience.
•  If English is not the first language, IELTS (Academic) 6.5 or equivalent is required.
